Inner Journey with Calista Ocean

Calista Ocean (RYT-200) is a writer, a yoga teacher, and an adventure-seeker.  She’s passionate about inviting others to journey through the beauty of their inner landscape by practicing yoga and self-reflection.  Her classes and private sessions combine yoga, breathwork, dynamic movement, and visualization to support students who long to reconnect with their body in order to remember their own wisdom.

In 2018, after eighteen months of planning and an unexpected battle with early stage breast cancer, Calista left her corporate job and her home in southern California to “live in the world” and focus on her writing and spiritual practices.  To read more about her personal journey, visit her website -https://www.calistaocean.com/

Be sure to sign up for her newsletter to receive inspirational articles and updates about upcoming workshops and events.  At this year’s festival, Calista will be guiding an “Inner Journey” yoga class after lunch and a workshop on embodying movement and stillness.

Lunch Time Program with Spiritual Music by Michael Hathaway and Friends

Closing Community Meditation and Stress Relief Workshop by Cassiopeia "Teja Shakti Kaur" Nodalo

Closing Community Meditation and Stress Relief Workshop by Cassiopeia "Teja Shakti Kaur" Nodalo

Michael's main passions are his spiritual practices of Bhakti yoga, hatha yoga (he's a certified Jivamukti teacher), and Five Rhythms/ecstatic dance. He discovered his musicality and voice through the practice of devotional chanting & has made it a consistent personal practice since he was introduced to daily chanting at the Sivananda ashram in the Bahamas in the late 90's. Living in NYC at the time, he was delighted to discover the kirtan community, and took every opportunity to sit with the likes of Jai Uttal, Krishna das, Bhagavan Das, Shyamdas, and others. He's also a certified Reiki practitioner and a 3rd degree black belt in the Seido Karate system.

He feels grateful and blessed to be able to share his practice and medicine with others by leading kirtan – to have the opportunity to create an uplifting communal experience of group prayer. He sings some traditional tunes with his own embellishments, but mostly traditional Sanskrit mantras set to his original music. He sings with a sweet, celestial, heart-felt yearning – weaving a soundscape of hypnotic harmonics, joyful celebration, and fierce intensity. Not having any formal training, he plays and sings intuitively – his unique melodies (often channeled in dreams) reveal an apparent blend of musical influences including Indian classical, the Beatles, psychedelic & indie rock, jazz, gospel, and even gypsy music – creating a fusion that honors the tradition while expressing a unique, deeply personal offering.

He can be found leading kirtan at yoga studios, festivals, conscious gatherings, and singing with his harmonium for yoga classes in the Los Angeles area.

He humbly bows at the feet Maharaj-ji Neem Karoli Baba, and all of his Teachers, and wishes only to honor them by singing the holy names.  You can reach Michael by his website or social media:

Closing Community Meditation and Stress Relief Workshop by Cassiopeia "Teja Shakti Kaur" Nodalo

Cassiopeia (Teja Shakti Kaur) is a heart-centered KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and a member of IKYTA. She embodies peaceful energy and grace. A lighthouse standing still amongst the storms of chaos facing our modern society. With a yoga practice since 2004, her journey to kundalini yoga started in 2014, where she left physically vibrating, and her mind curious as ever. Since then, she has embraced the kundalini community both locally and internationally and received training under master teacher, Krishna Kaur.   Cassiopeia’s classes focus on the deep healing of the self; through meditation, breath, movement, mantra, and relaxation. Strengthened by the power of forgiveness, Cassiopeia builds the courage to be vulnerable, to show that as her divine light shines, she can inspire others to fearlessly shine as well.
